Suicide bomber kills several as Afghan election officials urge vote

Officials in Afghanistan are investigating a suicide bombing that killed at least six policemen. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack, which happened at the interior ministry in Kabul. The blast comes just days before an election that is intended to mark the first democratic transfer of power in Afghanistan's history. Residents said they were afraid security fears could hinder the election. (SOUNDBITE) (Dari) RESIDENT OF KABUL WAFAQ ARIA SAYING: "The explosion took place in front of the interior ministry. If this situation continues, I don't think people can go to the vote. This is going to impact the election process, I urge the security official to improve the security on election day."
