Stars sail down sea green carpet at London Noah premiere

The stars of epic blockbuster 'Noah' sailed down a sea green carpet at the London premiere in Leicester Square on March 31. Darren Aronofsky's reworking of the story of the flood, which stars Russell Crowe in the titutular role, has stirred controversy among religious groups. It has been banned in some parts of the middle east on the grounds that it breaks Islam's taboo of depicting a prophet, while Christian and Jewish groups have criticised it for straying from the biblical text. SOUNDBITE Actor Russell Crowe, saying (English): "Well you don't really go in to making a movie like this without being fully aware that in some countries, in some Muslim countries, the Koran states quite clearly that you shouldn't make any representation of the prophets, and Noah is a prophet, you know, in Islam so, you know, to say we weren't expecting some of that would be silly, because we were." Co-stars Emma Watson, Douglas Booth and Jennifer Connelly also attended the premiere.
