Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attend St Patrick's Day Parade

Britain's Duchess of Cambridge celebrated St. Patrick's Day by presenting shamrocks to soldiers from the Irish Guards. Dressed in suitably green attire, Kate's presentation of the shamrocks is a century-old tradition first inaugurated in 1901. However, it wasn't just soldiers who had a chance to meet the royals: the regiment's mascot, an Irish Wolfhound also received a bunch of shamrocks, which the Duchess tucked into his collar. After the ceremony, the royal couple received a warm reception from soldiers in their dining room, before William enjoyed a few sips of Guinness, a traditional St Patrick's Day drink.
