Man killed as rival protesters fight in eastern Ukraine

Violence and bloodshed continues in Ukraine, days before the Crimean region votes on a referendum to join Russia. In an unusually emotional speech, German Chancellor Angela Merkel warned of "catastrophe" unless Moscow changes course.
