Turkish Court Orders Release of Jailed General

A Turkish high court has ordered the release of a former army chief serving a life prison sentence for plotting to topple Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Ilker Basbug was freed Friday - a day after it was ruled a lower court violated his rights by failing to publish a detailed explanation of the verdict last August.
