Kerry becomes tourist in Rome's historic center

ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry on Thursday took advantage of a short break in his busy schedule to pay a visit to one of Rome's most famous landmarks, the Spanish Steps. Kerry, surrounded by security and media, enjoyed the sunny spring afternoon walking past the historic site and popping into a shop on a nearby street lined with luxury boutiques. He could also be seen stopping at a street vendor's stall to buy a bag of roasted chestnuts which he munched as he continued his afternoon stroll through the historic center. The U.S. Secretary of State is visiting the Italian capital for meetings on Libya. He has also held talks with his counterparts from Britain, Germany, Italy and France and met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to discuss the ongoing crisis in Ukraine.
