Prada presents their A/W 2014/15 collection

ROUGH CUT (NO NARRATION) Italian fashion powerhouse Prada wrapped models in chunky shearling coats with contrasting woolly trim for an autumn/winter show inspired by German film and music of the 1980s on Thursday (February 20), the second day of Milan fashion week. Translucent shift dresses peeked out from beneath the boxy-shouldered coats, showing a flash of cartoonish patterned underpants underneath. Tailored coats provided a slimmer alternative to the shearling option. Slinky long-sleeved dresses in black and vermilion met knee-high patent wedge-soled boots, and prints reminiscent of 1970s wallpaper popped up on dresses and coats. Both the female models and the men who joined them on the multi-level catwalk in grey overcoats and wide-legged trousers all wore androgynous thin neckties. String and wind bands, joined by singer Barbara Sukowa, played music by German composer Kurt Weill from an orchestra pit surrounded by the carpet underlay-covered runway.
