Sharp tailoring, leather and fur at Tom Ford

ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: Tom Ford's signature style was evident at his London Fashion Week show on Monday (February 17), with models strutting down the catwalk in sharp tailored blazers, trousers, and knee-length pencil skirts. The new autumn/winter collection had a feel of understated luxury, which Ford wove through with fabrics including fur and leather. Unlike Ford's last collection, which featured beading and patterns, this season he scaled back and focused on fabrics and silhouettes. Color and sparkle were minimal, with the exception of evening dresses that looked like football jerseys with the number 61 on them. The designer says the inspiration came from American rapper Jay-Z. "Jay-Z wrote and performed a song called Tom Ford which he sings in stadiums filled with thousands and thousands of people and when he does he's often worn a Tom Ford football jersey which he has or someone had made and they're being sold online for 65 dollars
