USA Tops Russia in Hockey; Austria, Sweden Get Gold

The United States men’s hockey team defeated Russia 3-2 in a nail-biting shootout at the Sochi Winter Olympics on Saturday. The Russians appeared to score the winning point with just under five minutes left in the third period of the preliminary round game, but referees disallowed the goal because the net was knocked out of place before the shot.
