Several dead in tit-for-tat violence in CAR

EDITORS PLEASE NOTE: CONTAINS GRAPHIC IMAGES ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) Rwandan peacekeepers shot dead a member of a crowd that lynched two Muslims on Sunday in the capital of Central African Republic, where residents reported at least nine people killed in inter-religious violence at the weekend. A spokesman for Rwanda's armed forces, which are taking part in an African Union peacekeeping mission in the former French colony, said its soldiers fired warning shots at the crowd in the Miskine neighborhood of northern Bangui early on Sunday. According to the Rwandan army and witnesses on the ground, the man was shot dead by the Rwandan forces who were trying to stop the lynch mob from killing more Muslims and mutilating the body of a Muslim man.
