A look forward to the Berlin film festival

The Berlin Film Festival, also known as the Berlinale is one of the more political film festivals and will welcome international movie talent from February 6th. Around 400 films are screened during the 11 day festival, which unlike many of its other European counterparts is open to the public, who buy up to 300,000 tickets for the selected films. And overseeing the event is festival director Dieter Kosslick. SOUNDBITE Berlin film festival director, Dieter Kosslick (English) saying: "There will be two other highlights. At the first opening weekend we will have "Nymphomaniac" with the long, uncensored version of Lars von Trier's new film and we will also have "The Monuments Men". If you have George Clooney in the festival then it's star-studded anyway and I am happy that he is coming back. He was here several times with several films. It was a lot of fun and people just love him!" The red carpet is already shaping up at the Berlinale Palast in Potsdamerplat
