The fight for Ramadi

The Iraq Defense Ministry releases video as it intensifies the fight in Anbar Province. The government is battling al Qaeda-linked militants in Ramadi with at least 20 killed so far. . (SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) MAJOR-GENERAL MOHAMMED AL-ASKARI, DEFENSE MINISTRY SPOKESMAN, SAYING: "Some of the snipers are besieged by troops and their ammunition will be running out. We have killed two of them and one of them escaped, leaving his weapon behind. We are chasing him now. The military work here must be done carefully because of the presence of civilians and families. We are here to arrest the criminals and the killers." The conflict in Anbar has focused Washington's attention in Iraq as fears grow about spillover from the war in neighboring Syria.
