France's former first lady Trierweiler arrives in India on charity trip amid media frenzy

ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) France's former first lady Valerie Trierweiler arrived in Mumbai on Sunday night to support fight against child malnutrition, her first public appearance post a scandal that led to her separation from President Francois Hollande, after reports of his affair with an actress went viral across world media. Trierweiler was greeted at the airport by a chaotic press scrub before she was whisked away in a car. Her charity trip to India is aimed at working to help children fight malnutrition and hunger in the country where she seeks to fulfill her humanitarian commitments. French President Francois Hollande announced his separation from Trierweiler on Saturday following a media storm over allegations he is having an affair with an actress.
