Gunmen Kill 5 Egyptian Police

Masked gunmen have attacked a checkpoint south of Cairo, killing five Egyptian policemen and wounding two others. The attack happened early Thursday in Beni Suef province, about 100 kilometers from the capital. Authorities said the gunmen were riding motorcycles and fled the area after the shooting.
