Barrel bombs wreak havoc in Aleppo

Burning vehicles send smoke billowing into the Aleppo sky. Days before peace talks, new amateur video appears to show the latest in Syrian government barrel bomb attacks. Panic, smoke and dust fill the streets. People are desperate. They're combing through debris, apparently searching for signs of life. A child is carried from the rubble. Reuters cannot independently verify the videos, which were posted on a social media website. After nearly three years of war and more than 100,000 deaths, the Syrian government is expected to meet with some rebel groups in Geneva on Wednesday. But there are few signs of peace on the ground as the war rips through what was once the country's commercial hub.
