LA area wildfire prompts state of emergency

A massive wildfire still rages on the foothills above Glendora, California, a suburb near Los Angeles. Officials there have declared a state of emergency to help those who have been forced to evacuate. SOUNDBITE: RESIDENT LOUIS RICE, SAYING: "It started off with a couple of little embers. Thought we were safe. But I really don't know right now." More than 1,100 firefighters are battling the intense flames that have scorched 1,700 acres and destroyed at least five homes and 17 buildings. Officials say it'll be a few days before the fire is fully contained. They're keeping an eye on Santa Ana winds that have fueled the fire since it began on Thursday. SOUNDBITE: SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA TEAM 3 INCIDENT COMMANDER MIKE WAKOWSKI, SAYING: "We're always worried about the Santa Ana winds coming up.
