Police arrest 3 for involvement in Colby Fire

Police in California have arrested three people for accidentally starting a forest fire while they were camping that's damaged several homes and forced the evacuation of more than 1,000 people. The three men, all in their 20's, were arrested on suspicion of recklessly starting a fire and are being held on $20,000 bail each. The Colby Fire as it's being called has blackened more than 1700 acres of land in the foothills above Los Angeles. Strong winds spread the fire quickly and required some 700 firefighters and 15 aircraft to keep the flames from spreading. L.A. Fire Department Deputy Chief John Tripp. (SOUNDBITE) (English) JOHN TRIPP, SAYING: "We have identified that five single family dwellings were destroyed, 17 additional buildings, those buildings include outbuildings, barns, garages, and some other homes, were damaged."
