A day in mourning turns deadly in Indonesia

An already sad day turns tragic in Indonesia Saturday. 18 mourners on their way to a funeral in east Java province were killed in a bus collision. A provincial police chief explains. (SOUNDBITE) (Bahasa Indonesia) EAST JAVA PROVINCE POLICE CHIEF, UNGGUNG CAHYONO, SAYING: "31 people were traveling to Pasuruan to pay their respects there. On the way to Pasuruan the van was trying to overtake three other cars, while the traffic signs did not allow overtaking. The truck was coming in the opposite direction. So far there are 18 people dead." The majority of those killed were women. The male driver and two children also died in the crash. They were buried in a mass funeral.
