18 Dead in Indonesia Traffic Collision

Police in Indonesia say at least 18 people were killed when a pickup truck collided with a tractor-trailer truck on the main island of Java. A police spokesman said the pickup, loaded with all female passengers, was traveling to a funeral in Probolinggo district late Saturday when it hit the trailer truck while trying to pass three other vehicles. At least 13 other women were hospitalized with serious injuries. Some information for this report was provided by AP and AFP.
