Christmas comes early at Chilean zoo

ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION). STORY: Chile's zoo animals have been extra good this year and so Santa treated them to early Christmas presents on Friday. Jaguars got their paws on present parcels of meat hidden inside Christmas boxes. The zoo's Malay bears were also treated to festive treats of meat hung on Christmas trees as visitors looked on in delight. As bears dug into their presents, even the naughty monkeys were given early gifts from Santa. They ripped apart their Christmas stockings in no time to get to fruit inside. Giving the festive treats wrapped in presents and in stockings, helps encourage the animals' inquisitive side and keeps them stimulated.
