Iranians rejoice at prospect of nuclear deal's impact

The streets of Tehran are buzzing. Optimism is in the air after news of a nuclear deal reached between Iran and six world powers in Geneva. In shops like this one, the news has become a hot topic for conversation. (SOUNDBITE) (Farsi) TEHRAN RESIDENT, OMID ZAFARMAND, SAYING: "We're very optimistic that with these relations being forged, our lives can go back to how they were before. It's very nice and desirable to have relations with other countries after ten years." The deal provides Iranians a prospect of economic improvement through a partial lifting of Western-imposed sanctions. The White House says this first phase of relief amounts to $7 billion. Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif was quoted as saying that relief from sanctions could come in two to three weeks - welcome news for many.
