Google Settles Safari Privacy Suit

U.S. Internet giant Google has agreed to pay $17 million to settle a U.S. investigation into its tracking of millions of people using the web browser Safari. Officials say Google will pay the money to 37 U.S. states and the District of Columbia to make amends for bypassing the privacy settings of Apple's Safari web browsers in 2011 and 2012.
