Awaiting evacuation in the Philippines

Frank Zimney left his native Germany for a career the Philippines 16 years ago. Now the 66 year old teacher is awaiting evacuation after barely surviving Typhoon Haiyan. (SOUNDBITE) (German) 66-YEAR-OLD GERMAN NATIONAL AND TEACHER IN MARABUT, SAMAR PROVINCE, FRANK ZIMNY, SAYING: "The windows and doors blew up in the upper floor of my house. I then tried to escape to the ground floor because I thought I was safe from the winds because the room had stone walls. But then high waves came and flooded the entire house. With a lot of luck, I then managed to get out of the house and for three hours I held on to the bumper of my car. The car was driven towards the higher ground where two Filipinos pulled me out of my car and put me next to a house wall. I was lying there for some time."
