Blast in Kabul ahead of key meeting on U.S. forces

A suicide bomber rams their car into an Afghan army vehicle in Kabul. At least six people were killed and 22 injured --- a mix of civilians and soldiers. The vehicle was providing security for a compound where Afghanistan's political and tribal elites will gather next week to decide whether to allow some U.S. troops to stay in Afghanistan after 2014. The attack happened just hours after Afghan President Karzai called on the Taliban to take part in the assembly. (SOUNDBITE) (Dari) AFGHAN PRESIDENT HAMID KARZAI, SAYING: "Once again I invite them [Taliban and Hezb-I-Islami] to please come and participate in the people's national meeting. Attend it, raise your voice, protest it and explain your vision on what you believe is in the best interests of Afghanistan." No one has claimed responsibility for the attack.
