U.N. humanitarian chief Valerie Amos has arrived in the central Philippines to tour the typhoon-ravaged city of Tacloban. A U.N. spokesman says Amos was struck by the resilience of the local people -- who are still in need of medical facilities, food, clean water and basic sanitation that remain widely unavailable five days after Typhoon Haiyan.
