Financial struggle for last Jew in Afghanistan

Zabulon Simintov is the last known Afghan Jew to remain in the country. While somewhat a celebrity, he has tried not to advertise his identity -- to protect his kebab café, which opened four years ago. (SOUNDBITE) (Dari) JEWISH MAN ZABULON SIMINTOV SAYING: "I am an Afghan, we live here like brothers together, we are equal, the entire world knows this." Kebabs are not selling well these days and the café now faces closure. With U.S. troops pulling out of Afghanistan, deteriorating security in Kabul has made people frightened to eat out or simply visit the city. (SOUNDBITE) (Dari) JEWISH MAN ZABULON SIMINTOV SAYING: "Almost four years ago I have opened this restaurant, I was hoping to get a profit out of this business but so far almost $45,000 of my investment have been lost during the past four years.
