British royals meet Indian president in New Delhi

ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: British royal couple met Indian President, Pranab Mukherjee at the ornate Presidential Palace in New Delhi on Friday, which used to be the house of the last British viceroy before India's independence. They also visited a school in one of New Delhi's poorest neighborhoods Friday to see the difference the community schools are making to the lives of thousands of children from deprived backgrounds in India. The royal couple also visited Akshardham temple in New Delhi on Friday, the world's largest Hindu temple. The royal couple will spend seven more days in India before traveling to Sri Lanka to attend the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Colombo. This is their third official visit to India. The trip is aimed at strengthening bilateral ties between London and New Delhi.
