Blasts Outside Communist Party Office in Northern China Wounds 1

Chinese state media say a series of small explosions outside a Communist Party office in a northern city has wounded one person. The official Xinhua news agency says the blasts occurred outside the Shanxi Provincial Committee office in Taiyuan early Wednesday. The report said the explosions were believed to be caused by "self-made bombs," since it said ball bearings were found at the scene. A witness told Xinhua she saw a minivan explode at the scene.
