Fresh Clashes Between Government, M23 Rebels in DR Congo

Renewed fighting broke out Friday between government and rebel forces in the Democratic Republic of Congo, just days after peace talks were suspended. The U.N. mission in Congo reports the sides clashed around Kimbumba, 15 kilometers north of the city of Goma. It says mortars and machine guns were used, and that 5,000 civilians have crossed the border into Rwanda to flee the fighting.
