Wing fault blamed for Belgium crash

As night fell on Saturday Belgium's King visited the scene of the plane crash that killed 11 people earlier in the day. The victims were all members of a skydiving club. Some tried to jump from the plane but were too late to save themselves. It crashed 20 minutes after take-off near Fernelmont, south-east of Brussels. Belgium's interior minister said investigators believe a wing fault was to blame. (SOUNDBITE)(French) BELGIAN INTERIOR MINISTER JOELLE MILQUET SAYING: "It seems that one of the wings became detached shortly before the crash and that completely destabilised the plane. Now the experts are at the scene. The investigating judge and the prosecutor's office are leading a judicial inquiry." Wreckage of the plane was recovered from this field after Saturday's accident. Witnesses said the plane nose-dived and crashed into the ground after a part broke off. All those on board were Belgian.
