Singh-Sharif agree Kashmir effort

Manmohan Singh and Nawaz Sharif were widely expected to address a series of deadly clashes along the Line of Control that divides the region between them. In the event they agreed to work towards restoring a cross-border ceasefire but reached no concrete deal. Officials of both nations said it was a tentative step but in the right direction. (SOUNDBITE)(English) SHIVSHANKAR MENON, NATIONAL SECURITY ADVISOR OF INDIA, SAYING: "We have ceasefire violations, we need to deal with those. We have terrorism-related issues also, we need to address those and then we hope to move it forward but I'm not an astrologer.
