99-Year-Old Champagne Expected to Sell for $5,000 a Bottle

Six bottles of Moët Champagne which dates back to 1914 will soon hit the auction block. Perfectly aged alcohol doesn’t come cheap. Six bottles of Moët Champagne which dates back to 1914 will soon hit the auction block. It’s expected that the 99-year-old bottles will land anywhere from $3,800 to $5,000 each. The demand for vintage champagnes seems to be on the rise. There is a huge difference when it comes to aging wine and champagne. The latter beverage is much more sensitive to light and changes in temperature. The bottles going up for sale are coming from Moët's tightly controlled cellars, which makes them much more valuable to champagne connoisseurs. Sotheby’s will be hosting the auction which is scheduled to take place in London in the middle of November.
