Spears heads to Vegas, Cyrus and Hemsworth break up

Britney Spears is heading to Las Vegas with a two-year residency deal. The former child star, whose hits include "Baby One More Time" and "Toxic," will headline 50 shows a year starting on December 27. Spears hit the big time in the 1990s, and was one of the biggest pop stars of the 2000s. She was a judge on the popular singing competition show, "The X Factor," in 2012 but left after one season. Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have called off their engagement, ending months of speculation that their relationship was on the rocks. The duo were together for four years. The couple had announced their engagement in June last year. Pop singer Pink has been named Billboard's Woman of the Year after scoring her first ever No. 1 album this year. Pink emerged on the pop scene in 2000 as an antidote to the girl-next-door image presented by young pop singers Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera.
