Hollande says military option in Syria must remain on table

French President Francois Hollande is calling for a U.N. resolution on Syria backed by the threat of punitive action to be voted by the end of this week. (SOUNDBITE) (French) FRENCH PRESIDENT FRANCOIS HOLLANDE, SAYING: "One must take into account the threat of sanctions, if the agreement and the results of the Security Council U.N. resolution were not carried out. Therefore, we must ensure that there is some kind of sanction if it is not applied." With war raging in Syria Hollande said the option of military strikes must remain on the table. (SOUNDBITE) (French) FRENCH PRESIDENT FRANCOIS HOLLANDE, SAYING: "We can now seriously think of a diplomatic and political solution, but I want to add to be absolutely clear that the military option must remain.
