ROUGH CUT - NO REPORTER NARRATION PLEASE NOTE: EDIT CONTAINS MATERIAL THAT WAS ORIGINALLY 4:3 More than 40 people were feared trapped in the rubble of a residential building housing 14 apartment which collapsed in Vadodara city in western India on Wednesday (August 28) According to officials, another building, which was adjacent to the main one, also collapsed but it had already been evacuated. Some residents said that they had complained about the weakening structure of the building, but authorities did not take any notice. Many Indian buildings do not conform to safety regulations, with owners adding extra floors or structures without approval.
