Bo trial ends

PLEASE NOTE: THIS EDIT CONTAINS MATERIAL WHICH WAS ORIGINALLY 4:3 Closing arguments were made Monday as the dramatic trial for fallen Chinese politician Bo Xilai comes to an end. Prosecutors demanded a heavy sentence for Bo who was charged with corruption, bribery and abuse of power. The prosecution alleged the facts are clear and that there is ample evidence to prove Bo is guilty, a court official said on behalf of prosecution. They say he should be severely punished according to the law. Bo's career was stopped short last year when his wife Gu Kailai was convicted of murdering British businessman Neil Heywood. In fact it was Gu's testimony that prompted some of Bo's most feisty comments during the trial. Bo has consistently maintained his innocence although he has admitted to making some bad decisions. A verdict is expected later, although Bo is expected to be found guilty.
