Nicolas Cage launches serial killer thriller

Nicolas Cage plays an Alaskan state trooper in 'The Frozen Ground' searching for a serial killer that has gone unnoticed for 13 years. Based on a true story, the case takes a sudden turn when a prostitute escapes from the killer. Cage swapped freezing Alaska for sweltering London for the UK premiere, where he highlighted some of the finer perils of the North American state - serial killers aside. SOUNDBITE, Actor Nicolas Cage (English), saying: "Everything is different in Alaska. And for a state trooper which is what I was playing, it's a different set of rules. Everybody's drunk, everybody has a gun... you go up to car... I shouldn't say everybody's drunk for those folks in Anchorage that don't drink but many people are drinking and has a gun. If you go up to someone in a car, you don't know what's gonna happen so you're risking your life every time you confront someone." Vanessa Hudgens has dumped her girl-next-door Disney look to play the teenage prostitute
