Egypt military releases video of clashes

REUTERS CANNOT INDEPENDENTLY VERIFY THE CONTENT OF THIS VIDEO, WHICH IS EGYPTIAN MILITARY HANDOUT STORY: Egypt's military released a video on Monday purporting to show armed men attacking troops around the Republican Guard compound. The video shows people taking cover on rooftops while hurling Molotov cocktails and other items at security forces marching on ground level. Reuters cannot independently verify the video which was released by the Egyptian military to show clashes in the capital on Monday which killed at least 51 people, when the Egyptian army opened fire on supporters of ousted president Mohamed Mursi. The incident was the deadliest since the elected Islamist leader was toppled by the military five days ago. Protesters said shooting started as they performed morning prayers outside the Cairo barracks where Mursi is believed to be held.
