Hundreds in Jordan protest Hezbollah involvement in Syrian war

Hundreds took to the streets of the Jordanian capital Amman on Friday. They were protesting Hezbollah's involvement in the Syrian conflict, next door. Most of the protesters were members of opposition groups here, and included the deputy head of the Muslim Brotherhood in Jordan. (SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) DEPUTY HEAD OF THE MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD IN JORDAN, ZAKI BIN IRSHAID, SAYING: "Our message is directed to all the partners participating in this crime, from Iran to Hezbollah. We ask them to stop spilling the blood of the Syrian people, and we ask them to leave Syria before they are forced out by the will of the Syrian people." Protesters are angry that Hezbollah's been sending its fighters to aid Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. That help was crucial in letting Assad forces retake a strategic border town back from rebels, earlier this month. This Syrian refugee accuses Hezbollah of committing crimes in his homeland.
