Almodovar opens L.A. film festival with "I'm So Excited!"

Oscar-winning Spanish director Pedro Almodovar and his cast hit the red carpet for his latest film 'I'm So Excited!' which opened the Los Angeles Film Festival on Thursday. Almodovar explained how the film marks a return to his roots as a satirist, delivering a biting commentary on modern-day Spain. SOUNDBITE, Pedro Almodovar, director, saying (Spanish): "If you live in Spain or if you know how the situation is, the film is a metaphor about the insecurity and uncertainty in which we now live in Spain with the enormous corruption from the banks." The Spanish-language movie follows passengers on a flight from Spain to Mexico City after their plane has a serious malfunction. The pilots and flamboyantly gay flight attendants try to distract the passengers with alcohol and drugs. So no one finds it particularly unusual when the cabin crew perform an ultra-camp dance to the Pointers Sisters hit which gives the film its name. Spanish actor Miguel Silv
