South, North Korean officials meet

EDIT CONTAINS 4:3 MATERIAL Officials from North and South Korea held talks Sunday at a truce village along the border- the first face to face meeting between the two countries after months of amped up rhetoric from the North. The three person delegation from the North, led by Kim Sung-Hye, seen here wearing a green dress, sat across the table from a delegation from the South. Later, South Korean officials said the meeting went smoothly. Both sides agreed to cooperate for efficient negotiations, the spokesperson said. Tensions between the countries have been high recently after the U.N. imposed new sanctions when the North's conducted its third nuclear test this past February. The North responded with near daily threats of war. Now, hope for renewed trust and rebuilding relations is once again on the table. North Korean officials are expected to attend another cabinet-level meeting in Seoul later this week.
