Jackson attempts suicide, Carter plays Taylor

Paris Jackson, the 15-year-old daughter of late pop star Michael Jackson, was rushed to a Los Angeles-area hospital on Wednesday (June 5) after an apparent suicide attempt, according to her mother, Debbie Rowe. Paris, the second of Jackson's three children, had "a lot going on (lately)," Rowe said to TV program "Entertainment Tonight." Paris had reportedly been taken from her home by ambulance early in the morning. Helena Bonham Carter will play Elizabeth Taylor in an upcoming BBC TV movie "Burton and Taylor." "The Wire" actor Dominic West will play Taylor's on-again, off-again husband, Richard Burton. Fans of guilty-pleasure television will recall that "Mean Girls" star Lindsay Lohan tackled the role of Taylor last year in the Lifetime film "Liz & Dick," with Grant Bowler playing Burton. Taylor died in March 2011 at the age of 79. British actress Kate Winslet is pregnant with her third child and first with husband Ned Rocknroll. Winslet has a daughter with Jim Threapleton
