Carey, Minaj leave "Idol;" Lambesis out on bail

It's a mass exodus from "American Idol." Mariah Carey has announced that she will leave her role as a judge on the singing competition, as will fellow judge Nicki Minaj. Both women announced their plans on Twitter. They've only been on the show for one season and their departure follows on the heels of longtime judge Randy Jackson, who said he was leaving the series amid a TV ratings slump. Tim Lambesis has been released from a San Diego County jail after posting a 2 million dollar bail. The As I Lay Dying frontman was arrested on May 07 after police alleged he tried to hire a hit man to kill his estranged wife. Lambesis has pleaded not guilty to the charges. Finally, the Backstreet Boys got a chance to cuddle some giant pandas in China. The five members of the group were in China this week, where they visited with the creatures at a breeding and research center. They even treated the pandas to a little song.
