American killed fighting for Syrian opposition

Syria's state-run television showed pictures of a damaged car with broken windows, but did not elaborate if the car was being used by a group it said was ambushed by the government's armed forces. It showed a passport and a driving license bearing the name of Nicole Mansfield of Flint, Michigan. The woman's aunt in the United States told Reuters that the Federal Bureau of Investigation had informed her on Thursday afternoon of the death of her niece, but said she did not have the details of how she died.
