Clive Owen's tense new role

ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: The tense family thriller about a mother deeply entrenched in the IRA and forced to choose between the organization and the family she loves continues to earn praise after a strong start at the Sundance Film Festival in January. The film's stars Clive Owen and Andrea Riseborough and director James Marsh walked the red carpet for the movie's New York premiere on Thursday (May 30). Riseborough stars as a Belfast mother who, along with two of her brothers, is active in the Irish Republican Army when she gets offered a deal by a British intelligence officer, played by Owen, to turn against her colleagues and become an informant or else go to prison. The strong story is what made Owen pass on a much needed break. "I was thinking of not working. I was coming to the end of a film, was very tired and was going to take a break.
