Hundreds trapped by floods

EDIT CONTAINS 4:3 MATERIAL More than 500 people were trapped by heavy rain and flood waters in China's east Fujian Province over the weekend. Firefighters said the water level was 1.5 meters when the village was first flooded but rose to 1.8 meters 30 minutes later. Rescuers used ropes to help villagers into lifeboats. The firefighters made rubber dinghies out of tires and wooden boards to rescue trapped villagers.
