Queen Sofia Presents 18th International Congress of Classic Archaeology

The Spanish city of Mérida has become the archaeological capital of the world until the 17th of May seeing as it is currently hosting the 18th International Congress of Classic Archaeology, which was inaugurated on Monday by Spain's Queen Sofia. Approximately 600 experts in Roman and Greek archaeology from around the world have come to partake in the meeting. Big names present at the event include Simon Keay, of Southhampton University; Francois Baratte, of Paris' Sorbonne; and Pierre Gros, of the Provence-Aix-Marseille University.Powered by Producer : EFE
