Rescued woman in Bangladesh survived on two bottles of water

A woman trapped for 17 days in the rubble of a collapsed building in Bangladesh recalls her ordeal. The rescue of Reshma Begum is welcome relief as the country mourns the loss of more than 1,000 people. (SOUNDBITE) (Bengali) BUILDING COLLAPSE SURVIVOR, RESHMA, SAYING: "I didn't have anything to eat, I only had two bottles of water with me. The last two days I did not even have a drop of water. I got a stick to show them I was alive. I heard someone speaking above me and I called out -- but no one could hear me." The Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is calling it a miracle. (SOUNDBITE) (Bengali) BANGLADESH PRIME MINISTER, SHEIKH HASINA, SAYING: "After 17 days the woman was rescued. It's a miracle of God and I offer my gratitude to God. And I want to thank the volunteers who helped out day after day. I started to think that rescuers would not risk helping more people. I was afraid of that. And I'm grateful to God and I'm thankful to the rescuers." Go
