Bangladesh building collapse death toll at 622

Army personnel used diggers to tackle the mountain of rubble left by a garment factory collapse over a week ago. They're still removing bodies --- and the death toll from the worst industrial disaster in Bangladesh's history is now at 622. In all, 53 bodies were recovered on Sunday and rescue workers say they can see more trapped in the rubble. The government says the owners used shoddy building material including substandard rods, and cement, and that they failed to obtain the proper clearances. The poor construction meant the building was unable to support the generators running inside.
