The British boyband announce they are to split

JLS, the boyband that conquered the charts after coming second on the UK's television talent show X-Factor have announced they are to split. Posting a link on their Facebook page, they stated, "We have decided to bring our time as a band to an end. It has been the most incredible journey over the last 6 years and we have achieved more things than we could have ever dreamed possible." The band went on to say in the message that they would be putting out one last album and would also have a farewell tour both called 'Goodbye: The Greatest Hits'. The group, who were the first boyband to release their own line of condoms, have five MOBO awards to their name and are best known for their singles "Beat Again" and "Everybody in Love."
